Rebates on High-Efficiency Gas Fireplaces

High-efficiency direct-vent gas fireplaces provide heat directly to the interior spaces you want.  The Energy Trust of Oregon (ETO) provides rebates to consumers who purchase high-efficiency gas inserts, freestanding stoves and zero clearance gas fireplaces. The ETO website outlines the criteria and provides a list of eligible products.  Intermittent pilot ignition (which eliminates the standing pilot light) is an important criteria in the rebate incentives.

Rebates of up to $250 are available on a variety of high efficiency natural gas appliances including gas fireplace inserts, zero clearance gas fireplaces, and freestanding gas stoves. Incentives are based on the Canadian EnerGuide fireplace efficiency rating (FE rating). Rebates are $200 (Tier 1), $250 (tier 2). A list of all qualifying brands and model numbers is available from EnergyTrust of Oregon.
