Are Customers Getting the Correct Info on Credits and Rebates?

Update ETO and Oregon Tax Credits

Get updates on RETC tax credits for wood and pellet stoves; and ETO rebates for gas stoves and fireplaces. The good…and the bad...

Tax credits and rebates have made hearth sales easier in the past few years, but things have changed. Gas customers will be getting additional incentives, but prospective wood and pellet purchasers may not get any tax credits.  Simone Auger, of Fluid, who works with the Energy Trust of Oregon, will give you exciting news that can turn potential gas fireplace customers into owners . Harvey Gail will be there to describe the changes in the Oregon Department of Energy’s Wood Stove Tax Credit and what you can safely tell your customers. They'll also tell you what OHPBA is doing to encourage changes to the new efficiency restrictions. You've got to hear this!

This meeting is for all of you who sell hearth products in OR and in SW Washington. The timing of the meeting allows you to attend, but then to get back to the store in time to open. We expect to have every store that wants to increase hearth sales to attend! We'll make sure there is room for you.

There are no excuses for not attending. If don't live in the Portland area, find a computer with a webcam, and join us on Skype. Haven't used Skype? We'll teach you how, and we'll practice a bit before the meeting day. (The additional benefit is that you will start Skyping all your friends and relatives and maybe even your customers!) If you are joining us on Skype, bring your breakfast to the computer; we don't want to eat alone! If you have an I-phone, I-Pad or Mac, Facetime also works and is easier than Skype. If you are going to attend by Skype or Facetime, contact Gail English (360-606-3311 or gailenglish@englishestatewinery.com), and she'll get you started.

Registration is free - breakfast on your own - but please RSVP so we know who is attending! Register online.
